Hyundai added the new i20 Turbo Edition to its range, set to hit the UK showrooms this month.

The new Hyundai i20 Turbo Edition is powered by the company’s turbocharged three-cylinder 1.0-litre T-GDI petrol engine with direct injection, producing 98hp (100PS) and just 104g/km of CO2 emissions.

Peak torque is rated at 171.6Nm (126lb ft) at 1,500rpm with the engine paired to a five-speed manual gearbox. A 118hp version of the same engine mated to a six-speed manual is also on offer.

Customers will be able to choose between six different exterior colours: Polar White, Aqua Sparkling, Sleek Silver, Stardust Grey, Phantom Black and Red Passion. Based on the i20 SE trim level, the Turbo Edition adds Bluetooth, DAB digital radio, cruise control with speed limiter, a leather wrapped steering wheel with audio and phone controls, a rear view camera, automatic lights with dusk sensor, and satellite navigation via a seven-inch integrated touch screen.

Hyundai will offer a free seven-year TomTom Live Services subscription to those who will opt for the satellite navigation upgrade, featuring up to date traffic information, speed camera alerts, weather updates, and live Point Of Interest notifications.

The new Hyundai i20 Turbo Edition will be priced from £12,975 in the UK with the first cars to hit the dealerships this month.
