Long-time Lamborghini test driver Valentino Balboni has become something of a prominent figure in the motoring world – and rightly so.

Being with Lambo for 40 years before retiring in 2008 due to Italian government work regulations, it has been honored by the company with a special edition, rear-wheel-drive bGallardo LP550-2 bearing his name.

Small wonder that, even after eight years, he is still a Lambo man through and through and he recently unveiled his own brand, VB.

Aiming to offer an insight into the passion of the brand, Valentino Balboni will officially unveil VB’s first product, a state-of-the-art, limited edition, ultralight titanium exhaust for the Aventador LP-750 SV, at the Concorso Italiano that will take place in Monterrey Bay, California, on August 20.

The component weighs only 13.8 lbs (6.3 kg) and will be produced in only 30 numbered pieces. Each piece requires more than 350 hours to manufacture, offering a true Lamborghini collector’s item in the process. The handmade exhaust is also an engineering marvel that uses the OEM mountings to fit in place.

Naturally, we’re eager to hear how the, already heavenly-sounding V12 of the Aventador Super Veloce, will sound like with this custom exhaust.
