Pricing details for the facelifted 2017 Mazda3 have been released, revealing that the new model starts from $17,845, excluding the destination charge.

Entry-level models come fitted with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 155 hp, in Sport and Touring guises. For those looking for some extra punch, the Mazda3 Touring 2.5 and Grand Touring variants utilize a 2.5-liter engine delivering 184 hp.

A six-speed manual transmission comes standard on all models but for $1,050, an automatic ‘box can be optioned.

A selection of packages are also available for the car. The first, dubbed the Preferred Equipment Package consists of 16-inch wheels, heated side mirrors, Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring, rain-sensing wipers and satin trim throughout the cabin among other small features.

Second is the Sport with Preferred Package. It is priced at $1,000 and includes new 18-inch wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry, six-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats and a leather-wrapped shift knob and steering wheel.

The Popular Equipment Package extends on the Sport with Preferred Package by adding a decklid spoiler, shark-fin antenna, Bose nine-speaker audio system, SiriusXM satellite radio, a powered moonroof, illuminated vanity mirrors and an overhead sunglasses holder. It is available exclusively on the Mazda3 Grand Touring model and costs $1,600.
