Even though the Range Rover Evoque Convertible is by no means perfect, the fact that it’s the world’s only drop-top premium SUV makes it all the more special.

Mat Watson didn’t pull any punches with this review, letting us know that despite a pleasant-looking cabin, the Evoque Convertible doesn’t feature as many quality materials as one would expect, the touchscreen display has poor legibility in direct sunlight and the boot is quite small.

On the bright side, he did find it to be sufficiently comfortable while sitting in the back and once you do put the roof down, the fact that this is actually a very heavy car, a bit on the slow side, might just slip your mind once you feel the wind in your hair.

At £47,500, it sure isn’t cheap, but right now there’s no other premium convertible that can take you off-road in complete comfort while being fully confident in their abilities, thus there really is nothing else to compare it with.
