RSR and Hostile Wheels will showcase multiple highly specialized wheels at SEMA, including a new one-piece forged magnesium 20×10 design that will be displayed on a heavily customized 2016 Ford Mustang.

The company will also feature five project cars at SEMA, ranging from lightweight modern-day muscle cars and luxury vehicles, to rugged off-road and luxury trucks.

“Wheels connect you to the road, and if you don’t have the right setup your car or truck may not handle to the optimum level of performance,” said sales executive Bill Koenig. “Through efficiency testing and development, we’ve created more than enough choices for all types of cars, trucks and SUVs, all utilizing unique design and development resources.”

Aside from the forged magnesium wheels, the previously mentioned Mustang will also feature a full lowering kit by Eibach, a Borla exhaust system, Alcon brakes, a fully transformed Katzkin leather interior and a staggered set of 20″ Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

Of course, the tires are meant to further emphasize the lightweight magnesium wheels, which are 30% lighter than aluminum and provide decreased rotational weight – in turn allowing drivers to get up to speed faster and maintain momentum for longer periods of time with less stress on the engine.

“Saving weight is the number one priority,” added Koenig. “Pushing less rotating mass gives a car a competitive advantage against a similar equipped car with heavier wheels.” He also states that magnesium has the highest vibration dampening rate of any of the structural metals (including aluminum, titanium and steel), thus helping to absorb road shock while creating a more consistent contact patch for the tires.

As for Hostile Wheels and their presence at this year’s SEMA Show, they will yet again show off designs that combine the latest technology and manufacturing with an off-road lifestyle. This year, Hostile is sponsoring the Lucas Oil Off-Road Race Series, which is known for its intense four-wheel side-by-side short course racing.

If you’re visiting the SEMA Show this year at the Las Vegas Convention Center, you’ll be able to find out more about these custom wheels on location at the brand’s South Hall display in Booth #47037.
