Renault Twingo GT And Dynamique S Go On Sale In The UK

Renault has made its UK Twingo range more appealing by launching the new GT and Dynamique S models, which are available to order from December 1.

Unveiled earlier this year at Goodwood, developed by Renaultsport and inspired by the Twin’Run Concept, the Twingo GT features an updated chassis, recalibrated ESC and steering and start at £13,755.

The most powerful Twingo in the range utilizes a turbocharged 898 cc three-cylinder engine that produces 110 PS (108 HP) and 170 Nm (125 lb-ft) of torque, pushed to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox with new ratios. In this flavor, it needs 9.6 seconds to go from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) and will keep accelerating up to 113 mph (182 km/h).

Emphasizing its sportier character are the 17-inch alloy wheels, side skirts, extended wheel arches, rear diffuser and special stripes. Moreover, it can be specified with a Sport exterior pack, which adds orange or black detailing on the grille, side mirror caps, side door strips, and rear spoiler.

Inside, its color choice echoes the exterior and some of the features that can be found on it include part-leather upholstery, Renaultsport door sills, aluminum pedals, special gear lever knob, automatic climate control, sat-nav, and others, in addition to the speed limiter and cruise control, Emergency Brake Assist and Hill Start Assist. Options include the Techno Pack with R-Link infotainment and a 7-inch touchscreen, TomTom navigation, Bluetooth, USB, voice control, rearview camera, electric panoramic folding sunroof, heated front seats and Lane Departure Warning.

Priced from £12,205, the Twingo Dynamique S slots below the GT and uses an 898 cc engine, with either 70 PS (69 HP) and 91 Nm (67 lb-ft) of torque, or 90 PS (89 HP) and 135 Nm (100 lb-ft) of torque. The latter allows it to sprint from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 10.8 seconds, with either the manual or automatic gearbox, and top speed sits at 103 mph (166 km/h).

It can be finished in the same shades as the GT, meaning the Blaze Orange, Lunar Grey, Diamond Black or Crystal White body colors, and features 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and a Sport decal. Customers can also specify it with extra tinted rear windows, automatic headlights and front wipers, fog lights with cornering function and rear parking sensors, as an option. Inside, it has orange highlights, part-leather upholstery, and aluminum pedals.
