You can buy a lot for $9,365. In fact, you could buy a cheap car and if you wanted, modify it extensively to make it as fast as a supercar. Alternatively, you could buy a scale model of the Bugatti Chiron’s powertrain.

Created by Amalgam, this piece of art is an exact 1:4 scale model of the Chiron’s 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. This means the powertrain measures 18 inches long and nine inches high.

So where does all your money go? Well, Amalgam says it took 2500 hours to design everything and a total of 220 hours to build each example from 1040 individual pieces.

The attention to detail is so remarkable that every part features genuine Bugatti barcodes and labels.

Given the model’s price, it’s certainly not something your average joe will purchase. However, for those that have spent over $3 million on a Bugatti Chiron, it could be the perfect paperweight.
