Aston Martin Shows New Lagonda Sedan 30+ Photos

Aston Martin‘s resurrected Lagonda saloon will be available exclusively in the Middle East, but the British firm wants everyone to know about it, dropping more than 30 official photos of the development prototype.

The undisguised Lagonda is currently undergoing hot weather testing in Oman and has already covered around 5,000 miles (8,000+ km) in temperatures ranging from 30 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius (86 to 122 Fahrenheit) from a total of 14,000 miles (22,500+ km) that AM wants to log in a month-long testing cycle.

Drawing inspiration from the original pointy Lagonda of the late 1970s, Aston’s new limited run sports saloon is the work of the firm’s “Q” special project division.

Very few technical details have been shared publicly, and the only concrete information we have is that the new Lagonda is built on the VH platform architecture that underpins the Rapide saloon. However, it’s almost a given that the Lagonda will be powered by AM’s 5.9-liter V12 engine, which in the latest Rapide S, kicks out 552hp (560PS) and 630Nm.

The first production samples are expected to land in the Middle East in 2015.
