As one of the “purest” modern-day BMWs, the 1M serves as proof that you don’t need a lot of power or a great deal of exterior mods to put together an awesome looking package.

It’s small, it’s wide (for its size) and it basically looks like it’s about as mean as a two-door BMW can get.

Furthermore, these matte black 20″ ADV5.0 MV2 CS Series wheels look perfect on the dark grey exterior of this 2012 BMW 1M. They measure 20×9 at the front and 20×11 at the rear and the thin blade design is actually similar to the car’s original wheels.

Now that we’ve established that this is a small and seriously mean thing, we probably need to remind ourselves exactly how mean this car can be when set loose on the road or track.

Powered by a 340 PS, 500 Nm (368 lb-ft) 3.0 liter turbocharged straight-six engine, the 1M is capable of reaching 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.9 seconds – which makes it about as quick as the old E92 M3, and a lot more fun, according to a lot of people.

Thankfully, the guys responsible for these wheels didn’t go overboard and respected the 1M for what it really is. A driver’s car.

A set of shiny flashy rims would have definitely ruined the look of the car. Then again that might have spared those of us precious minutes of staring at it intensely, wishing one would just suddenly appear in our garages.
