2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Official Design Sketch

Prior to the world debut of the next-generation E-Class at the Detroit Motor Show, the German carmaker has released an official design sketch previewing the look of the new car.

Obviously, the sketch isn’t accurately proportioned, but does give us a very good look at the sleek styling of the 2017 E-Class. From the front, the similarities to the larger S-Class are obvious, with familiar headlights, prominent air intakes and an eye-catching front splitter.

Also visible are the creases running along the sides from the front through to the rear wheel arches and the eye-catching body lines on the redesigned bonnet.

Its refreshed design aside, the new E-Class will come standard with a range of impressive features and technologies from Mercedes-Benz‘ vast arsenal. For starters, two optional 12.3-inch displays will be available for the gauge cluster and infotainment system. Elsewhere, we know the new car will bring with it a number of inline six-cylinder engines, a four-cylinder diesel and a hybrid powertrain.

The countdown for the 2017 E-Class has officially began, so stay tuned for further updates.
