Porsche has issued a recall for its smallest SUV in Russia.

The Russian Federal Agency on Technical Regulation and Metrology has discovered that 2,893 Macans may have leaks in the injection pipes, potentially causing fuel to leak and, therefore, increasing the risk of a fire in the engine bay.

The cars being called back to dealerships were sold between January 24, 2014 and October 26, 2015. All repairs will, of course, be performed free of charge.

Apart from the Macan, Porsche has recalled 15 911 Carreras sold in the Russian market due to possible short circuiting in the ignition coils, which could lead to misfiring in the engine’s cylinders. Not a life-risking issue, but a totaled engine is not to be sniffed at.
