With over 20 years of tuning experience, Wimmer seems the perfect company to squeeze every last drop of power from a car. And that’s exactly what they did with this particular Porsche.

If you thought the 997 is old news, wait until you see this one. Granted, the golden wrap is anything but subtle, but this tuned 911 Turbo Cabrio’s 840 PS (828 hp) and 870 Nm (641 lb-ft) of torque make up for it.

To achieve these impressive power figures, Wimmer took the standard 480 PS (473 hp) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) flat six and installed two new turbochargers, spark plugs, reinforced pressure tubes and a more powerful fuel pump.

All these mods make for massive performance gains, as the improved 911 Turbo can now reach a dazzling 363 km/h (225 mph) top speed and tackle the 0 to 200 km/h (120 mph) sprint in 10.1 seconds. Or exactly the time it takes for a Hyundai i20 Sport edition to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill.

We know 840 PS isn’t the absolute limit this engine can take, but no matter; come to think of it, it’s probably an overkill for 99 percent of its usage.

The standard clutch was also replaced with a sport unit, while a stainless steel exhaust system with electronic valve command and sports catalysts has found its way underneath the car. So, if you happen to be a 911 Turbo owner looking for a power upgrade Wimmer, charges €39,000 ($42,378) for the engine modifications, and another €7,500 ($8,149) for the KW adjustable suspension and O.Z. Ultraleggera 19-inch rims.
