It could be just a coincidence, but nevertheless soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo posed next to a brand new Porsche 911 Turbo S only two days after experiencing a big disappointment.

Real Madrid’s superstar saw Barcelona’s Lionel Messi grab the Ballon d’Or Award for the 5th time, right up from under Ronaldo’s and Neymar’s noses. Of course, having a multi-million contract, spending over €200,000 on a supercar is far from a pocket-draining way to get over your bad mood. Beats hitting the bar by a mile – or 200+…

The 30-year old star seemed to be in high spirits while getting ready to sit behind the wheel of a car that can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a blistering 2.9 seconds. Also, as one of the fastest running footballers in the world, he probably knows how to appreciate speed.

Aside from that mighty impressive acceleration time, the 2016 Turbo S can also gallop all the way to 330 km/h (205 mph) thanks to its 580 PS engine that makes overtaking and getting off the line a literal breeze, especially when the power is going to all four wheels.

This particular car was probably delivered to Cristiano way before most other 911 Turbo owners got their facelifted car, as US customers for example still have to wait until the 2017MYs reach dealerships in April.

Fame does of course have its perks, and this is certainly one of them. Throughout the years, Ronaldo was spotted in a lot of exotics, from Maseratis to Bentleys, Astons, Porsches, Audis, Ferraris, Bimmers, Lambos and even Bugattis.

With that in mind, a refreshed 911 Turbo S should fit right into his personal collection, or at least right in with the cars that are more about performance and less about comfort or style.
