One lucky fan will get to own Farrah Fawcett’s custom Corvette, as the classic sports car will go under the hammer before the end of this month.

This piece of automotive history started life back in 1970 and was built by the late George Barris, American designer and creator of many Hollywood custom cars, especially for the famous actress and artist, and was documented in numerous articles and books.

The car received a green exterior and a posh finish for the cabin, with some state-of-the-art gadgets for that era, including a telephone and a TV. Unfortunately, time has not been friendly with this one-of-a-kind Corvette as the paint is faded and peeling, the engine compartment is in a rusty mess and the 350, mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox, doesn’t look that good either.

There is some good news because the vehicle is all original and, since it was found in storage, where it was kept for decades, it was mechanically serviced to run and drive again.

The custom Corvette will be auctioned between January 23 and 31, at no reserve, by Barrett-Jackson, in Scottsdale, and despite no estimated price was mentioned by the seller, don’t expect it to go for cheap.
