The first images and power figures for Jaguar’s upcoming range-topping F-Type SVR reportedly leaked out after a German importer inadvertently dropped the brochure on the web.

Offered in both Coupe and Convertible body styles, the SVR edition sits atop the existing 550PS (542hp) F-Type R models.

According to the leaflet, it’s less powerful than we had anticipated, with the tweaked 5.0-liter supercharged V8 pushing out 575PS (567hp) and 575Nm (424 lb-ft), an increase of only 25PS (25hp) and 25Nm (18 lb-ft) over the ‘R’ edition, however, on paper, it’s significantly faster.

Unlike the ‘R’ that can be had with both rear- and all-wheel drive, the SVR comes exclusively with AWD paired to an 8-speed automatic and hits the 100km/h (62mph) in 3.7 seconds regardless of body style, compared to the F-Type R that does the same in 4.2 seconds with RWD and 4.1 seconds with AWD. The SVR Coupe tops out 322km/h (200mph) and the Cabriolet, at 313km/h (195mph).

Jaguar also added an adaptive sports suspension and an electronic differential, while offering lightweight carbon ceramic brakes as an option.

Besides the extra oomph, the SVR models come with a dedicated aero kit comprising of a new front bumper with a deep chin spoiler, a revised rear bumper with a sizeable diffuser and quad pipes, and a fixed rear wing, while riding on unique 20 inch wheels. Updates were made to the interior as well with different trimmings.

The new F-Type SVR should make its first public appearance at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
