Previously the head of the Morgan Motor Company, Charles Morgan has just shown his hand at car reviewing thanks to Carfection, reviewing a a rare 993-generation Porsche 911 GT2.

As just 57 road-going 993 GT2 models were ever produced, the example featured here isn’t an OEM example and is instead a lesser 993 variant that’s been customized to GT2-spec. Nevertheless, it is still a massive head-turner and offers all the performance one could want from a road car.

In factory guise, the twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six air cooled engine of the 993 GT2 churns out 430 hp. Coupled to the engine is a six-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels, making the car a true animal and a real highlight of Porsche’s GT division.

Matching the vehicle’s potent performance is a bold exterior including flared wheel arches, wide wheels and tires and a rear wing, mimicking the skyscraper wing’s created by Rauh-Welt Begriff.
