Citroen has released full details on its new SpaceTourer van, following its official introduction in early December, when it was shown with its two siblings, the Peugeot Traveller and Toyota Proace.

Features found on the new SpaceTourer include hands-free access, which unlocks the sliding door on the driver’s side with a simple movement of the foot under the corner of the rear bumper, opening rear window for optimal boot loading, motorized sliding side doors, Claudia black leather trim and the usual audio jack and USB socket.

Citroen has include a new 7-inch tablet to the list, used to control all the media, navigation and telephone functions, Mirror Screen tech, Connect Nav, head-up display, Park Assist 180°, Grip Control and Smart beam headlight function.

Safety features include Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring, Road Sign Recognition, Coffee Break Alert advising drivers to take a break after two hours of continuous driving, Driver Attention Alert that monitors the driver’s behavior, alerting via a sound and visual signal if the concentration level decreases, Collision Alert, Active Safety Break and Active Cruise Control.

Five powertrain options are available, all BlueHDi diesel burners, with outputs ranging between 95PS (94hp) and 180PS (177hp).

The new Citroen SpaceTourer will debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, on March 1.
