Kia wants you to learn everything about its latest SUV, so it has released an enormous photo gallery.

The fourth generation of the Sportage is now offered with five power outputs and three transmissions with the introduction of a turbocharged 174hp 1.6-litre T-GDi petrol engine and a seven-speed double-clutch gearbox in the GT-line model.

The turbo petrol Kia Sportage can reach 60mph from zero in 9.2 seconds, with cars equipped with the 7DCT gearbox dropping this time down to 8.8 seconds. Combined fuel economy is rated at 37.2mpg UK for the manual and 37.7mpg UK for the dual-clutch models.

Other engines in the range include the 130hp 1.6-litre petrol, the 114hp 1.7-litre diesel and a 2.0-litre CRDi diesel offered in two versions with 134hp and 182hp. These engines can be had with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.

The company’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is standard to the turbocharged 1.6-litre T-GDi and 2.0-litre CRDi models, with the ability to redistribute the torque of the engine up to a maximum of 60-40 between the axles when necessary.

Kia has equipped the new Sportage with safety features like Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and High Beam Assist are offered for the first time in a Sportage while customers can choose between an advanced 7- or 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a reversing camera and the latest connectivity features.
