Ford has the popular F-150 SVR Raptor and now thanks to some updates for 2017, Ram has a new-and-improved Power Wagon.

As always, the 2017 Ram Power Wagon is based around the 2500 model and compared to the outgoing car, includes a range of exterior and interior trim changes to make it that much more appealing to off-roading enthusiasts.

Most significantly, the chrome trim that adorned the front fascia of the 2016 car has been replaced by more appropriate matte black trim, found on the redesigned grille and front bumper. Like the F-150 Raptor, the 2017 Power Wagon also includes a large Ram logo on the grille rather than a small badge like previously.

Other murdered-out elements of the new Power Wagon include the rear bumper , redesigned wing mirrors and custom wheels. New decal designs are now offered in silver or black and add that little bit of extra style to the six available exterior colours.

Inside, the 2017 Power Wagon include new seat upholstery and the option of a black headliner but other than those changes, everything remains the same.

It’s a similar story with the mechanicals. Powering the car is still a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine delivering 410 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
