Toyota is set to recall around 320,000 vehicles in the United States due to an issue with the side curtain airbags.

Affected by the recall is the 2003-2006 Land Cruiser, 2004-2006 4Runner, 2005-2006 Tundra and Sequoia, 2003-2006 LX 470 and the 2004-2006 GX 470.

Due to improper programming in the airbag control modules, there is a possibility that the airbags could inadvertently deploy after startup. Not something to be taken lightly, of course…

To resolve the issue, a new airbag control module will be installed free of charge, and owners of said vehicles will be notified by first class mail.
