2016 Infiniti Q50 Priced From $33,950, Twin-Turbo V6 Models Coming Later This Year

Infiniti announced pricing for the first two of the four available engine options in the 2016 Q50.

The new Infiniti Q50 enters the 2016 model year with significant new additions to its range, including three new turbocharged engines.

The entry-level Infiniti Q50 uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged unit co-developed with Daimler and is rated at 208hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy for the Q50 2.0t RWD is rated at 23 mpg city, 31 mpg highway and 26 mpg combined.

The Q50 Hybrid Premium uses the same petrol-electric drivetrain from last year, combining a 3.5-liter V6 unit with 302hp and 258 lb-ft of torque and an electric motor with 67hp and 214 lb-ft of torque. The combined output is set at 360hp.

Pricing starts from $33,950 for the Q50 2.0T and $47,050 for the Q50 Hybrid Premium. Every version now also comes with the choice of rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Pricing for the range-topping 400hp twin-turbo models will follow on a later date.

26 mpg combined from a 2.0 liter turbo? eh… My 12 year old used to get 23mpg combined and it had big old 3.3liter v6. I’m not a fan of turbo-4 bandwagon in luxury car.

that car is heavy for a small 2L, but yeah agree with you

  • Nordschleife

Prices are cutting into the Q30 area. That might prove to be a problem.

    • Andrewthecarguy

Yes but at this price point the car is a winner. Good looks, decent equipment, for most non enthusiast, you can’t ask for better.

      • Nordschleife

Andrew I agree with you 100% I wish the coupè would start at that price so I can buy it.

  • BlackPegasus

    Bring on the coupe already!

  • Grumpy

Falls under lease special category. Merc was smart not to put it into the C when they could have easily.

First drive reviews are out, and they all say the 3L TT sounds “meh” and its transmission isn’t adapted. Next.

    • Mike Williams

Sounds “Meh” just like BMW’s sound “Meh”. Get an exhaust for that.

      • xDRAN0x

        400hp BMW don’t sound meh. Don’t ship a 400hp car that sounds like the stock Q50 3.7s

        • Mike Williams

Obviously you’ve never been in a 400 HP BMW.
