The undisputed star at Alpina’s stand in Switzerland is the all-new B7 that comes to steal some of the glamour away from BMW‘s flagship, the 760Li.

Building upon the new 7-Series and offering customers the typical Alpina touches, the B7 maintains BMW’s kidney grille and adds two elliptical twin tailpipes integrated in the rear apron, 20-inch Alpina Classic wheels shod in 255/40 front and 295/35 rear Michelin performance rubber or optional 21-inch forged rims.

Inside the Alpine Blue Metallic / Alpina Green Metallic-finished models, an extensive range of standard equipment welcomes prospective buyers. The list includes high-end Nappa leather comfort seats, full-color HUD, leather-wrapped instrument panel, ceramic inserts, sports steering wheel with blue and green stitching and full-color digital instrument panel with LED technology.

Choosing the B7 gets you 608 PS (600 HP) and 800 Nm (590lb-ft) of torque from the an Alpina-tuned 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8. An 8-speed Sport Automatic Transmission with Alpina Switch-Tronic, made in collaboration with ZF, sends power to the rear axle or the AWD system, allowing the car to sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.0 seconds or 3.6 seconds respectively, and reach a top speed of 311 km/h (193 mph – preliminary figure).
