Ford is introducing us to the Kansas City-built F-150 MVP Edition truck, meant to celebrate the Kansas City Royals having won the Baseball World Championship.

The truck will have a limited run of 300 units, available in either Blue Flame or Oxford White. The MVP Edition also features special MVP badging, a unique polished stainless rocker panels and a spray-in bedliner.

The idea behind this model belongs to Marc Lassalle, a Royals fan who thought it would only be right if Ford celebrated his team the way they did back in 1986 with the Ranger MVP edition – the first time the Royals became world champions.

“Like our manufacturing team members at Kansas City Assembly Plant, the Kansas City Royals are a great example of what terrific teamwork can accomplish,” said Gary Johnson, Ford VP for North America manufacturing.

Ford actually worked with current Royal Salvador Perez and former star Bret Saberhagen (from the 1985 roster) in order to promote this car, which is now on sale at Kansas City area Ford dealers.
