Four-Door Limousine Might Follow Bugatti Chiron

The VW-owned luxury brand might expand its vehicle lineup beyond the Chiron with the introduction of a four-door limousine.

Even if there is nothing official at this point, Bloomberg reports that Bugatti’s next project was mentioned by the brand’s executive, Wolfgang Duerheimer, during an interview at the Geneva Motor Show: “I can’t get the idea of a four-door limousine out of my head. It’s one of the options we might look into again, as a possible next project.”

Whether Duerheimer’s dream will come true is anyone’s guess, but this wouldn’t be the first time that Bugatti tries to develop a four-door sedan, as the Galibier Concept was presented in 2009. While the vehicle never materialized, data indicated towards the use of the 8.0-liter W16 engine, adopted from the Veyron and a price tag of roughly $2.5 million.

Bugatti might take a step into a new era with yet another vehicle that might join its lineup, an electric car, but when asked about a rival for the Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV or the upcoming Lamborghini Urus, Duerhemeir’s answer was “no“.

wow, that looks very good. if this was production i think it would out sell anything in its price range.

You mean they might finally make something like the 16C Galibier that people absolutely loved and fawned over with the power of the Chiron with room for 4? Even if they detune the engine a bit, a W16 engine in a sedan would be epic, especially with 1000hp. I mean come on. Just make it already!

      I totally agree…
This car is what Bugatti is supposed to do, to me the Chrion should be just a halo car for them. In addition to the hypercar they could build this super-sedan, for around 400-500.000$.

I dunno. I wouldn’t go as far as to say that this what they should be making. I also doubt they’ll build anything in the sub $1mil price range. This isn’t Bentley even if they’re owned by VW, VW understands that Bugatti will never be a mass producing brand and they won’t try and make them one. They only made 450 Veyrons in it’s entire lifespan and they’re only going to make 500 Chiron’s in its span. If they built a sedan I doubt they’d even double they’re production with it.

Something more powerful will explain more for your future, VW. A limited Bugatti Chiron Supersport?

  • Thos head lights a bit too big. What is great with what VW is doing with Bugatti. The tech is hidden, the lines quite simple. They do not use nightclub lights, strange colors, huge sreeens and sofwares good for 5 years to be luxury. Sure the price tag helps make it premium. But if you buy a Bugatti in 10 years, the geeks and the web will say it’s an old car… But if you buy an S-class, in 10 years it will look and feel old. The first Veyron still looks great (if you allready liked it).
