Red is a tricky color on sedans, even more so on oversized luxury models like the Rolls Royce Phantom Extended Wheelbase and especially if you combine it with matching-color wheels and gold accents…

Meet Rolls Royce’s bespoke series of Rolls-Royce Phantom Extended Wheelbase models handcrafted exclusively for THE 13 hotel in Macau, a special administrative region in China.

The first of 30 Phantoms to be made for the hotel was revealed today at the 2016 Geneva International Motor Show, where it was ‘handed’ over to its new owner Stephen Hung, Joint Chairman of Louis XIII Holdings, by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO, Torsten Müller-Ötvös.

“Today we celebrate the culmination of one of our closest partnerships. Rolls-Royce has worked with us for over two years to create this singularly unique automobile,” said Stephen Hung, the creator of THE 13 hotel in Macau. “Behind all the innovation and Bespoke personalisation, Rolls-Royce never once compromised its exceptional commitment to quality in every detail. To me this is the standard by which true luxury is judged.”

All models for THE 13 hotel are adorned in the same, specially formulated ‘Stephen Red’ exterior paint that is complemented (according to Rolls) by a “hand-painted twin-coachline in gold that culminates in a specially designed motif” and bespoke 21-inch alloy wheels in the same color as the body.

The interior of the special edition made for the hotel’s rich clientele continues with the red color scheme that appears on the door inlays, while the instrument dials and the newly designed clock play on THE 13’s red and gold theme. All cars get a refrigerator housed between the rear seats, plus specially commissioned door panniers housing a tissue box, rear picnic tables presented in ‘Stephen Red’ and finished with hand-applied Gold inlays, and Rolls Royce’s fancy Starlight Headliner with 1,360 fiber-optic lights.

Among the 30 Phantom Extended Wheelbase motor cars, two were made with additional special features including gold Spirits of Ecstasy’s, gold Parthenon Grilles, gold interior accents, diamond encrusted Rolls-Royce badge, and a ‘Stephen Red’ paint infused with fine particles of pure gold.
