Lexus LC 500h Hybrid Awaits Admirers To Flock

Lexus has pulled the covers off the new hybrid sports coupe at the Geneva Motor Show.

The second addition to the new LC family has dropped the 474 PS (467 HP) and 527 Nm (389lb-ft) 5.0-liter V8 of the LC 500 in favor of a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine, producing 299 PS (295 HP), and a 61 PS (60 HP) electric motor and lithium-ion battery pack.

The hybrid powertrain has a total output of 359 PS (354 HP, sent to the rear axle via a four-speed automatic transmission. Zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes less than 5 seconds, 0.5 seconds slower than non-hyprid which uses a new 10-speed Aisin automatic gearbox.

Lexus has equipped the new LC 500h with TRI (Remote Touch Interface) and new multimedia package, Mark Levinson audio package, premium Pioneer audio system, Alcantara trim, hand-stitched leather and premium materials, added to the standard safety equipment list that includes Lexus Safety System +, Lane-Keep Assist, All-speed Adaptive Cruise Control and Pedestrian Detection.

Toyota’s luxury brand continues to keep details on the “green” car‘s pricing and fuel consumption close to its chest.
