Skoda technicians at select outlets will be conducting free “all around the wheel” safety checks for UK customers, examining potential tire, wheel and suspension damage, as well as alignment.

The Czech manufacturer says that even though lots of cars come out fine after a close encounter with potholes, if damage does occur, it can be very difficult to spot, which is something most car owners know all too well.

Alongside the free check-up, Skoda is also offering spare wheels, complete with tool kits as part of their accessories range – though that will set you back £168, aside from the complimentary fitting of the spare wheel.

“At this time of year especially, it can be hard to spot a pothole whilst driving,” said Warren Richards, service & parts exec at Skoda UK. “Our free ‘all around the wheel’ safety checks take no longer than 30 minutes and will ensure all is well with the car. Though vehicles don’t always sustain damage, we advise customers not to take the chance and have one of our technicians take a look – just in case.”

As far as the “all around the wheel” free check-up is concerned, customers can have their Skoda vehicle serviced by contacting their local retailer.
