Yes, we all know who’s going to win this one, but what about the other two participants?

Top Gear magazine brought the BMW M4, the Lexus RC-F and the Nissan GT-R together for a drag race and while we get why the first two being there, adding the Japanese AWD killing machine doesn’t really makes sense.

Anyway, let’s pretend that this is a race between the two RWD performance coupes. The bright orange Lexus is one of the last cars of this kind you can get with a naturally aspirated engine, in this case a 5.0-litre V8 making 470hp and 391lb ft of torque.

BMW on the other hand uses a twin-turbo 3.0-litre straight six unit which makes only 425hp but being turbocharged means that the torque on offer is much more, at 406lb ft.

Can the 200kg (440lbs) heavier Lexus really challenge the M4 on a straight line?
