Mercedes’ new S-Class Cabriolet is now available to order in the UK, with prices starting from £110,120 for the S 500 AMG Line model.

First deliveries will start this summer when customers will receive either their AMG Line version or Mercedes-AMG model with choices spanning across three engines.

First up there’s the S 500, powered by a twin-turbo 4.6-liter V8 with an output of 455 PS, followed by the 585 PS Mercedes-AMG S 63 version and the range-topping S 65 with its 630 PS 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12.

In terms of performance, the S 500 can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.6 seconds, whereas the S 63 and S 65 can claim 4.2 and 4.1 seconds respectively. As for top speed, all three versions are electronically limited to 155 mph (250 km/h) though customers can increase the top speed to 186 mph (299 km/h) with the optional AMG Driver’s package – costing £2,760 for the S 63 and £765 for the S 65.

Even when opting for the “entry-level” S 500 Cabrio model, UK customers will still enjoy standard features such as the AMG body-styling, 19″ wheels, LED headlights with Intelligent Lighting System and Adaptive High Beam Assist Plus, AIRMATIC air suspension with continuously variable damping control, satellite navigation with COMAND Online system including dual 12.3-inch TFT displays, AIRSCARF neck-level heating, AIRCAP, comfort heated and ventilated seats with electric operation and memory function, heated rear seats, leather upholstery, intelligent climate control and an automatic boot separator.

Standard equipment on the S 63 however includes a matte silver front splitter and AMG radiator grille, AMG chrome-plated twin tailpipes, ‘V8 BITURBO’ lettering on the front wings, 19-inch AMG alloys, the Burmester surround sound system with 13 speakers, Driving Assistance package, AMG sports exhaust system and Nappa leather upholstery.

Now, if you think Mercedes could not fit any more standard equipment into the S-Class Cabrio, you need to check out the S 65 AMG which comes with an LED Intelligent Light System with Swarovski crystals, AMG Sports exhaust, 20″ alloys, ‘V12 BITURBO’ lettering, designo Exclusive Nappa leather with diamond quilting, illuminated door sill panels with ‘AMG’ lettering, heated steering wheel, Night View Assist, head-up display and the top of the line 23-speaker Burmester 3D surround sound system.

There’s also a £3,180 Driving Assistance Package you can order on the S 500, which consists of a 360 camera, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Brake Assist System with Junction Assist, DISTRONIC PLUS with Steering Pilot and Stop&Go Pilot, PRE-SAFE Brake with pedestrian detection and PRE-SAFE PLUS. If you select this option along with the Premium package (£4,998), costs will go down to £2,295.

The AMG Night package is only available on S 63 & 65 models and for £795 adds a high-gloss black AMG front apron, two black chrome-finished twin tailpipe trim elements, exterior mirror housings, AMG side sill panels and a high-gloss black AMG rear apron.

As for the optional AMG Exterior Carbon Fiber package, it costs no fewer than £5,000 and adds a carbon fiber finish to the AMG front apron, exterior mirror housings and the AMG side sill panels and rear apron.
