If you can’t get enough of the 911’s sport, body-hugging seats, (at home or at work), Porsche has come up with a simple, but elegant solution: a chair.

But this isn’t like any other office chair, as it’s built to the same specifications and upholstered with the same premium black leather as the sport seats found in the current 911 Carrera GTS an GT3 models – it’s like never leaving the vehicle’s cabin, although 911 Turbo customers might notice the differences.

The seat features a rechargeable battery-powered backrest adjuster, as well as “3-D adjustable” armrests. It even has a jacket-hook on the rear and Porsche’s crest embedded on the “headrest”, but its 35 kg (77 lbs) lightweight construction and five castors – “for optimal traction” through the…workroom – are the chair’s strengths.

And no, this isn’t a late April 1st joke, as the German car maker is serious about its accessories. So, if you want to simulate the everyday drivability and comfort of a 911 cabin while sitting at your desk, it will cost you $6,570 for this exact unit, and $5,690 for a “base” variant – which comes without Alcantara. But in all seriousness, given the money, what Porsche model would you go for? A 924, a 944, or a beaten-up 928?
