GMC is introducing the 2016 Yukon SLT Premium Edition, a special version that offers Yukon and Yukon XL customers a more personalized appearance with plenty of chrome inserts.

Once the car goes on sale this summer, owners will be able to show off its unique 22″ chrome wheels, bespoke chrome grille, bright chrome body-side moldings and polished exhaust tip.

“The new Yukon SLT Premium Edition adds distinction and personalized style to the already well-appointed Yukon SLT model,” explains GMC marketing exec Stu Pierce. “For discerning customers seeking uncompromising capability and unparalleled refinement in a full-size SUV, Yukon SLT Premium Edition delivers with the latest in technologies, amenities and a unique and premium style.”

GMC Yukon and Yukon XL SLT models are powered by a 5.3-liter V8 engine that boasts the segment’s best V8 fuel economy according to the manufacturer, at an EPA-estimated 23 highway mpg (10l/100km) for the 2WD models.

Among the SLT’s standard and available features are the fold-flat second & third-row seats with power-folding tech, power rear liftgate with multiple programmable height settings and hands-free operation, wireless phone charging, 8″ color touch-screen with IntelliLink and sat-nav, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto phone projection compatibility, as well as a Keyless open & start system.

In terms of safety, the Yukon lineup boasts a forward radar system, as well as the segment’s only Front Center Airbag, which deploys from the inboard side of the driver’s seat and inflates between the driver and front passenger.
