MINI Seven Special Edition Comes Out To Play

MINI is celebrating the classic Austin Seven with the first special edition of the current hardtop hatch.

Aimed at the USA and Europe, the MINI Seven features styling upgrades over the regular variant and comes in Lapisluxury Blue, Pepper White, Midnight Black or British Racing Green colors, contrasted by a Melting Silver roof and side mirror caps.

Making it easy to distinguish the special edition from the standard MINIs are the exclusive bonnet stripes, in Melting silver, large badges around the side indicator and standard 17-inch wheels, with 18-inch rims available at an extra cost.

Open the door and you’ll be greeted by sports seats in black leather and plaid fabric, Malt Brown accents on the seats and armrests, a 6.5-inch infotainment system, Comfort Access, Harmon/Kardon audio, panoramic sunroof, power folding and auto-dimming mirrors and park distance control. Options include full leather upholstery in Cross Punch Carbon Black, Lounge Satellite Grey or MINI Yours Lounge Carbon Black and a 8.8-inch display with navigation.

MINI offers the Seven  in two body styles, 3-door and 5-door, in either 1.5-liter 134 HP Cooper or  2.0-liter 189 HP Cooper S versions, with a 6-speed manual gearbox or an optional six-speed auto. In the United States, it will arrive at dealers later this summer with pricing to be announced closer to that date, while in the UK, it’s already on sale, from £18,545 ($26,751).
