With a focus on safety, comfort and durability, Volvo has introduced its new range of child seats.
Developed with Britax-Romer and tested at the automaker’s Safety Center in Gothenburg, Sweden, Volvo’s latest child seats have been made from a more breathable and comfortable upholstery, with 80 percent wool textile, providing smoother surfaces that are highly durable and performing better in both hot and cold climates.
“Our focus is on ensuring that young children travel in the safest manner possible, depending upon their size and age. This means rearward-facing up to the age of at least 3 or 4 years and after that with child seats or booster cushions up to 140 cm in height“, said Adjunct Professor, PhD and Senior Technical Leader, Injury Prevention at Volvo Cars Safety Center, Lotta Jakobsson.
Volvo’s latest generation of child seats includes the Infant seat, rearward-facing, usable up to 13 kg or 9 months, the Child seat, rearward-facing for children between 9 months and up to 6 years and the Booster seat, forward-facing, for children between 3 and 10 years old. The new child seats will go on sale in selected markets from the beginning of June.
