Watching Kanye West Struggle To Start His Mercedes-Maybach Is Pretty Awkward

Talk about things that can wipe the smile off somebody’s face, not being able to start your $200,000 car on the first try has to be right up there.

Of course, when you’re having to go through all of that while everybody is watching, filming and taking pictures, can be even more nerve-wrecking. The rapper’s facial expression changed the second he realized something was wrong and his 6.0-liter V12-powered super-luxury saloon wasn’t cooperating.

The 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600 starts off from $189,350 in the US, but that’s before you add anything extra like wheels, wooden trim, the $6,400 Burmester Surround Sound system, or the $4,950 Magic Sky Control system.

Something sounded terribly wrong with the car as Yeezy was trying to depart his office in Calabasas, California, and it wasn’t until the second try that the V12 fired up, sounding reasonably healthy.

Maybe its time for the “World’s No.1 superstar” (as the guy behind the camera puts it) to bring his car into the shop and have that little hiccup checked out, otherwise he might have to go through another of these embarrassing moments.

Then again, Kanye does have a history of violence regarding Maybachs.

he reminds me of the 94th episode of south park, every time i see him.

    • BlackPegasus

      That’s so fishy and gay.

  • Squeaky_1

Oh dear, why is this ‘news’? Thought I’d seen it all, now this, reported as if it was important somehow. . .

  • TheBelltower

    Erhmkay then

  • BlackPegasus

The fact that this clown continually finds himself in my media stream is proof that god does not like me very much. 😒

    • Auf Wiedersehen

It proves that our society is messed up. Why is there 47 photographers snapping pics of a guy getting in his car? It’s messed up that society’s priorities are there.

      • Enter Ranting

Because, in this case, the guy is an unrepentant a-hole, no-talent narcissist who desperately craves attention like a petulant five-year-old, and the world likes to point at him and laugh in his face. Kanye SUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS.

        • Matt

The medias just as bad in following him 24/7 to catch his every fart and turning it into click bait hyperbolic sensationalism because they know millions of people eat this up as well as wanting to know everything about other celebrities everyday lives. thus it becomes a cycle between the 50 photographers (who, because of the obsession of many can feed their families) follow him, the news outlets will get views and people, who both love and hate him comment. so news outlets can then charge $$$ from advertisers who post thier ads on the outlets sites.

        • LOVE FORCE ONE

you yourself sound like a talented and humble man that doesn’t want anyone to know about his existence… #hypocriticalasfuck

  • Christopher Sansom

    Yawn

  • Dennis James

I suppose that week’s paycheck came a bit late and the gas tank was almost empty, so the fuel pump had to make a real effort to not embarrass Kanye even more.

  • InCotexM 3

He can buy a Maybach but he will never be able to buy class & respect.

  • JonPaul

    He’s not too intelligent anyway.

  • Honda NSX-R

    At least it started

  • supermanuel

“World’s No.1 superstar”? Not in my universe.

  • Ary Wisesa

“World’s No.1 superstar”? What did he do to deserve it? I even never know what kind of music or movies he made. I enjoy wide range of musicians (Andrea Bocelli, Beatles, Kenny Rogers, Beyonce, Rihanna, Josh Groban, Madonna, (The Great) Michael Jackson, U2, Coldplay, Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake, Beethoven, Mozart and other classical musicians, Michael Buble, Taylor Swift, Yanni, Enya, Kitaro…. this list will almost endless..). But, him? Well, I don’t know him, and honestly, I dont want to know either.

  • Kash

People do realize that paps say things like “No.1 superstar” and “World’s best actor” when trying to get a celebs attention because they want them to be in a good mood because then the celeb is more likely to give them a few extra pics, answer a few questions, etc. It’s like a sales person complimenting you in hopes of getting you to buy more. It’s nothing more than a line of BS.

P.s. what’s with the celeb car news? It’s not a post auto show week and it didn’t seem like a slow news day.

  • Christian

Its the V12 engine. You have wait for a seconds before starting it. I had similarly problem with the old CL600 when the car had ben standing still for some time…

    Or, I´m wrong..

    • Kash

Wait a few seconds from when you unlock the car or did you have to turn the key to wear the entire dash lights up and then wait before turning it all the way over?

      • Christian

Put the key in and wait, or it would do like in the video. 🙂

        • Kash

          Good to know. 🙂 Thanks.

  • Jan Mleziva

Had to google him. Turned out if you listen to rock music and dont live in US, there is actual chance he is a random guy for you 🙂
