Borla Performance is announcing the launch of their Camaro SS-specific exhaust systems, designed to give the V8-powered muscle car a more throaty voice.

As with all Borla products, the new 2.75″ diameter exhaust systems are drone free. They also include the company’s own valve technology and can be specified for cars with or without the Dual Mode (NPP) factory exhaust option.

One of the goals was to ultimately provide Camaro SS owners with several sound options. For example the race-bred ATAK muffler tech can deliver the highest decibel level available in Borla’s street-legal lineup. In other words, it’s their most aggressive exhaust note that’s still acceptable in residential areas.

The S-Type exhaust option on the other hand is all about a throaty sound under acceleration, but reproducing it at a reduced volume level.

On top of the rear-section mufflers, Camaro SS owners can add the Borla performance mid-pipe, which also improves airflow and aids performance without increasing the sound output.

“As a flagship application for Borla Performance Industries, we take tremendous pride in our entire Camaro program,” said David Borla, VP of sales & marketing. “We’re delighted to announce these first applications for the new 2016 Chevy Camaro SS, and we will have new exhaust products for the V6 and four-cylinder turbo models available soon.”
