Following the introduction of the Toro in Brazil, Fiat’s local arm is looking into the possibility of adding an SUV to the lineup, based on the pickup truck.

The report, published by AutosSegredos, states that the SUV was under consideration even before the Toro broke cover.

Both the exterior and interior will mirror that of the Toro, with increased comfort features, with the crossover possibly offered in both five and seven seat versions.

Unsurprisingly, the engine lineup will be borrowed from the pickup truck too and will include a 1.8-liter petrol and a 2.0-liter MultiJet turbodiesel, producing 140 HP and 170 HP, respectively. The former is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission and 2WD, while the latter can be had with a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed auto, linked to the 2WD or 4WD system.
