First Bugatti Chiron Passenger Ride On The Nurburgring

This is the first time we get to see a journalist being driven in the mighty 1,500PS Bugatti Chiron.

Car Throttle’s Alex Kersten was given a ride in the new Bug by no other than the company’s president Wolfgang Durheimer on the Nurburgring, giving us a first taste of the most impressive petrol-powered automobile in the world.

The Chiron outclasses the mind-boggling numbers of its predecessor by a long mile: the heavily revised quad-turbo 8.0-litre W16 engine produces 1479hp (1500PS) and 1179lb ft (1600Nm) of torque, 0-62mph (0-100km/h) comes in less than 2.5 seconds while the top speed is limited (!) to 261mph (420km/h).

Durheimer also answers everyone’s burning question: Yes, Bugatti will take the Chiron for a world record-breaking attempt for the fastest car ever – in 2018. With the speedometer topping out at 500km/h (310mph), it looks ready to leave us stunned when the time comes.

i was looking for an on-board video of the car on track with possible commentary from both the presenter and the driver. Instead this “journalist” points his camera on himself in a helmet and records himself as he he speaks. Ive got a news for you, mr. presenter: your voice is audible even when you are not on camera and you are not the main attraction in this video 😉

    I enjoyed this heaps!

I can´t beliebe that people can actually make money doing that, congratulations man from all those i*diotic m*orons like me that must study in the order to earn some money in the modern slavery called Work.

Car Throttle guys needs to chill out, what is this make a wish foundation?

  • Andrewthecarguy

    That Bentley is underwhelming….

  • VERY NICE.
STUNNING PAINT. THE CAR IS SUCH AN IMPROVEMENT DESIGN WISE OVER THE VEYRON WHICH IS QUITE A PIG.
THE INTERIOR ON THE OTHER HAND IS NOT THE WAY I’D GO. THE CENTER “THING” AND THE SHADOW CAST BY THE OUTSIDE “C” CAUSES A CLAUSTROPHOBIC SETTING. THE BARE BONES CENTER STACK AND TINY SQUARE BOTTOM STEERING WHEEL ARE NOT VERY INVITING FOR WHAT IS ESSENTIALLY A GT CRUISER.

Love that arc in the cabin!
