Kitsch Gold-Plated 2002 Pontiac Trans Am Listed At €3.4 Million

This 2002 Pontiac Trans Am has to be the most expensive one of its kind to have been listed for sale, and it doesn’t even come with a mind-blowing performance.

Its asking price is €3.4 million, or $3.78 million at today’s exchange rates, but whether someone will actually end up paying the ridiculous amount is another story.

You might be wondering what is so special about it, and the answer is quite simple: it has been gold-plated outside and inside, while it also has more than “300,000 Swarovski diamonds“, as the seller explains, describing the car as an “artwork” and adding that it can be driven under all weather conditions.

Its odometer currently indicates 80,000 km (49,710 miles).  The vendor from Germany states that the muscle car meets the Euro 3 emission standards and it only had one owner in its 14 years of existence. If by some miracle you are interested in it, then you can check out the original ad over at Mobile here.

Nope.. not even if I was laundering €3.4 million.

  • Six Thousand Times

    Totally worth it!!!

    • Bedazzled Bargain

No kidding, I’m all in! I want to show the world I’ve arrived. In what I don’t know. Also, how do I insure this POS?

  • TheBelltower

I would not pay 3.4M for this car. I wouldn’t pay anything. In fact, if someone parked this mess in front of my house, I’d have it towed.

Someone needs to get kitsched in the nuts. Totally ruined that poor Trans Am.

  • SteersUright

Melt the thing down for its gold and junk the rest.

a single sideswipe would knock $900,000 off its value (as asked for)…………………………………

  • SamuraiJack

This might be the bargain of a lifetime. 300 000 diamonds for €3.4mil is about €11 per diamond. Just remove the diamonds and then kill it with fire

    • TheHake

      Its Swarovski crystals, not diamonds.

      • SamuraiJack

In that case, just kill it with fire

        • TheHake

It DEFINITELY sounds like a case of money laundering!

  • fabri99

I can understand the idea of covering up your car in gold if you have money to spare…but what exactly made you choose a Trans-Am instead of a Lamborghini?

  • Zed68

    MY EYES !!!!!!!

  • Rudolf Wesseln

I know this car personally from a meeting near Nuernberg. The owner invested an unbelievable amount of time, passion and money to pimp this car. In the end it is really no beauty, it is just to much of glamour, blingbling and this stuff.

    • TheHake

I would have kept that to myself if I were you…

  • Auf Wiedersehen

Some people just don’t know when to stop. Or in this case, not to start. It has actually decreased its value and not worth even $3.78 thousand.

  • Bob White

I really would like to see the guy who owns this thing. It would make for an interesting psychological profile. Lol

  • BEDAZZLE’D.
THIS IS A GREAT BELLY LAUGH.

  • D3X

Looks horrible, and my goodness, it’s real gold! If i saw this in real life, I’d probably think it’s fake gold chrome and plastic diamonds by the horrifying worksmanship on this thing.
