After he went on a jungle search for the Beast of the Green Hell, three-time world F1 champion, Lewis Hamilton, has expressed his desire to develop his very own extreme version of a Mercedes-AMG road car.

Hamilton, who already owns a Pagani Zonda LH, among other rare and expensive exotics, didn’t offer any details on the possible hardcore model, but he did say that “talks are already underway” with the 3-pointed star and hinted towards the recently unveiled Mercedes-AMG GT R, which could be used as a foundation.

They told me they were doing this project and they’d love me to get involved. They showed me the car and when I first saw it, they’d already designed it. I had all these ideas, but they couldn’t be added to this model“, Hamilton said, cited by Motoring.

So, we’ve spoken about doing a limited-edition, an LH Series, at some stage. Whether it’s this car or another one, I will be very, very hands on. I’ve been with Mercedes since I was 13 so it’s a perfect place for me to be able to start and do something in the future, using their expertise“, the F1 champ added.

A possible Mercedes-AMG GT R LH Edition would have to offer even more downforce and the 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, which is rated at 585 PS (577 HP) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque in the recently unveiled model, might gain some more oomph. However, the 31-year old racing driver’s dream could materialize, as the Germans are reportedly planning for an even more powerful AMG GT, which could wear the “Black Series” moniker.
