New Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe Goes On Sale In UK From £40,580

Combining some of an SUVs practicality with the rakish roofline of a coupe, the newest addition to the Mercedes-Benz GLC range, the GLC Coupe, is now available for order in the United Kingdom.

At the time of launch, the model will be available with a choice of two engines, the 220d and 250d, powered by a 2.1-liter diesel engine that delivers 170 HP in the former and 204 HP in the ladder. Power is sent to the wheels in both cases through a standard 9G-Tronic automatic transmission.

Building on top of the Sport’s 18-inch alloy wheels, diamond grille with black-painted pins and black ash wood interior trim, the AMG Line adds an AMG body kit, 19-inch wheels, diamond grille with chrome pins, flat-bottomed AMG sports steering wheel, Cranberry Red or Black Artico leather, brushed steel sports pedals and black roof lining, for an extra £1,495 ($2,195).

Checking the options list are two packages, Premium and Premium Plus, with the former adding ambient lighting, sliding glass sunroof, keyless-go package and memory package, for £1,495 ($2,195), while the latter costs £2,795 ($4,105) and comes with Burmester surround sound system and Comand Online infotainment.

Available features also include the Lane Tracking Package, for £595 ($875), with Blind Spot Assist and Lane Tracking Assist, along with the Driving Assistance Package, priced at £1,695 ($2,490), which includes Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keep Assist, Distronic Plus with Steering Assist, Pre-Safe Plus, BAS Plus with Crosswind Assist and Pre-Safe Break with Pedestrian Detection.

The AMG Line models can also be equipped with the Night Package, for a £495 ($725) premium, which adds 19-inch alloy wheels with a five-twin-spoke bicolor design, black side mirror casings and high-gloss front apron and rear diffuser.
