Fernando Alonso & Stoffel Vandoorne Demonstrate Honda NSX At Estoril [w/Video]

Work at a bar? Get free drinks. A clothing store? Employee discounts. Race for an F1 team? Drive their cars.

Whether you like it or not is irrelevant; it comes with the territory. For example, McLaren is now an automaker in its own right, with a three-tier range of supercars. We guess its drivers won’t feel short-changed even with a 570S, right?

At the same time, though, Woking has rekindled its partnership with engine supplier Honda, which is currently launching the new NSX. Thus, its drivers got to the Estoril circuit in Portugal to due some work for the Japanese company.

The location was not chosen randomly: it’s the track where Ayrton Senna won his first grand prix, before going on to help develop the original NSX when he was driving for the very same team.

This time around, Fernando Alonso was on hand for the presentation of the new Honda NSX there, taking journalists for hot laps around the famous track and showing them what it could do.

The Spaniard was joined by team’s test driver Stoffel Vandoorne, who is the one demonstrating the NSX at the Portuguese circuit in the video that follows – and yes, the “it’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it” cliche is inevitable…
