Sonic the Hedgehog turns 25 this year, and to celebrate its anniversary Honda will debut a custom designed Civic at Comic Con with a one-of-a-kind wrap.

Maybe a turbocharged 2016 Civic Touring Sedan isn’t the first car that springs to mind when you think about Sonic, but James Jenkins, Public Relations Manager for the Honda Division, reckons the animated character perfectly showcases the vehicle’s sporty attributes:

“What better way to showcase the incredibly sporty performance capability of the 10th generation Civic than by pairing it with gaming industry’s ultimate athlete – Sonic the Hedgehog. As the fan favorite game and character celebrates his 25th anniversary on the scene, we hope that all Sonic fans – those who remember playing years ago and those who continue playing today – rejoice in his all-new ride, as much as we enjoyed creating it.”

Needless to say, the Civic embodies the spirit of the classic video game by adopting parts of Sonic’s universe throughout its over-bright mods. It also comes with custom wheels and tires, representing Sonic’s shoes and gold rings featured in the game, a Sonic Black Grill, and Sonic Yellow Honda logo.

The vinyl is complemented by Candy Sonic Blue painted exterior with custom Sonic Yellow throughout, while the interior carries the same overall theme thanks to the Katzkin Blue Leather and custom “Sonic the Hedgehog” 25th Anniversary embroidered logos.

In the trunk, the ultimate Sonic video game configuration can be found, with Rockford Fosgate providing an audio-visual system featuring two 500-watt T1S2 10-inch subwoofers, two 500-watt TM400 400-watt amplifiers, and a floor-mounted flip-up/down 32-inch television.
