We haven’t seen a Black Series car leaving the Affalterbach factory for a while now, but whatever it is that’s hiding underneath this camouflage looks more aggressive than “regular” AMG models.

What gives it away are those considerably wider wheel arches, which suggest wider tires and a wider track, and what looks like a differently-styled fascia, though all that camo makes it hard to say for sure.

Rumor has it that AMG boffins have begun testing a new model from the automaker’s Black Series lineup of future cars, and this could indeed be one of them.

So what could power a Black Series version of the new-generation E63 AMG? According to our spies, it should be an upgraded version of the automaker’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, producing somewhere between 25-50 PS more than the regular E63 S model.

This means we could be looking at a potential 650+ PS Station Wagon, one that would out-duel the current Audi RS6 Avant performance in terms of power output.

Also, just like the RS6, all future E63 versions will send power to all four wheels, according to AMG boss Tobias Moers.
