Among its many upgrades for 2017, the Mazda6 has gained more refinement, plus the automaker’s G-Vectoring Control vehicle dynamics tech.

For the entry-level price of $21,945, US customers can purchase the 2017 Mazda6 in Sport trim, which comes with a six-speed manual gearbox, electronic parking brake, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, push-button starter, 17″ alloys, backup camera and the MAZDA CONNECT infotainment system which is now standard.

Further up the range is the Touring trim which starts off at $24,195. Here, you get 19″ alloy wheels, leatherette seating surfaces, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry, dual-zone climate control, rear vents and a six-way power driver’s seat.

Features such as Smart City Brake Support, automatic on/off headlights and rain-sensing wipers also come standard for 2017. Among the 2017 Mazda6 Touring’s optional extras, buyers can go for the 11-speaker BOSE Premium audio system, a power moonroof and SiriusXM satellite radio, plus further upgrades like full-LED headlights with Adaptive Front-lighting System, an auto-dimming interior mirror and heated front seats.

The Mazda6 Grand Touring sits atop the range and comes with sat-nav, perforated leather-trimmed seats, an upgraded full-color head-up display, 8-way power driver’s seat, 6-way power passenger seat, alarm, paddle shifters, LED fog lights and lighted signature grille, dark alloy wheels, rear lip spoiler, cruise control and Smart City Brake Support. Among its new standard features are the Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, High Beam Control and memory seat.

There’s also an available Premium Package which includes i-ELOOP regenerative braking with active grille shutters, rear outboard seat heaters, heated steering wheel, Nappa leather seating surfaces, LED accent lighting around the shifter, black headliner, hand-finished leather-wrapped steering wheel and new brightwork throughout the cabin.

Just like with the CX-9 SUV and the 2017 MX-5 Miata RF, Machine Gray Metallic will be featured as the 6’s new premium paint color.

The 2017 Mazda6 is due to go on sale nationwide this September.
