The list of cars we’d like to drive up the Pacific Coast Highway is longer than a stretched Bentley, but the Corvette Stingray surely deserves a place on there. And that’s just what Marchettino has picked up for the drive to Monterey.

The car-spotting fixture on YouTube is making his way up the West Coast for the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. He had a Mercedes G-Class on the trip until now, but swapped that out for a bit of good old fashioned American muscle.

Now we might prefer the convertible for a trip like that, but even the coupe has a removable roof panel in the grandest of Vette traditions. This white tester with its dark red stripes and brighter red interior is also equipped with the eight-speed automatic, which (paddle shifters notwithstanding) might not be as engaging as the manual, but shifts faster than any of us ever could.
