Teasing enthusiasts for more than a year now, the hottest version of the latest-gen Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan, the AMG E63, comes out to play in a new spy video on the Nurburgring Nordschleife.

Camouflage has been reduced, but it’s still protecting the bolder front fascia and meaner-looking rear end.

Trying to figure out whether this is the AMG E63 or the more powerful AMG E63 S version is close to impossible at this point, but both models carry a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which debuted in its original form in the AMG GT a few years back. According to a leaked spec-sheet, in the E63, it’s good for 517 PS (563 HP) and 750 Nm (553 pound-feet) of torque, while the “S” is pushed to 612 PS (604 HP) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft).

Mercedes-AMG have also dropped the rear-wheel drive setup, as it will come exclusively with four-wheel drive. Output will be channeled to the wheels through a 9-speed automatic transmission, with naught to 100 km/h (62 mph) said to take just 3.5 seconds in the ‘S’ grade.
