Porsche Details Its New Connect Infotainment System In 2 Minutes

As technology becomes an ever-increasing element of your daily lives, the Porsche Connect system has been introduced on a number of the firm’s latest models, including the second-generation Panamera, to make life a little bit easier for owners.

Detailed in this video, Porsche Connect, available in standard and ‘Plus’ formats, allows owners to connect their iPhone and Apple Watch to their vehicle in the most seamless way possible.

Once a device is paired to Porsche Connect, numerous functions of the car can be operated remotely. For example, the car can be unlocked from an owner’s phone or smartwatch and even the side mirrors can be folded in.

One particularly useful feature of Porsche Connect is that navigation directions can be transferred immediately from a handheld device onto the car’s GPS system.

The feature works in conjunction with Apple CarPlay and therefore makes use of Google Maps, Earth and Street View and is able to receive real-time traffic information. The system also expands Porsche’s infotainment setup allowing for live news updates and even detailed flight information.
