Woman Rams Into Prized Ferrari 458 Speciale After Futile Parallel Parking Attempt

A Ferrari 458 Speciale has been damaged after a woman driving a Mercedes-Benz 380SL Roadster reversed into the prized Italian exotic.

While attempting to parallel park at Katie’s Cars & Coffee in Great Falls, Virginia, the woman abruptly reversed and slammed right into the front bumper and hood of the hardcore 458 variant.

As the owner of the Speciale arrives on the scene, he can be overheard saying “Are you serious? Are you fu****g serious? That is the dumbest thing I have ever seen.”

The woman can then be heard saying “Oh my god, I am shaking,” much to the displeasure of the 458 owner.

After the classic drop-top Roadster was moved from its precarious condition, it is reported that a number of severe scratches were visible on the Ferrari’s hood and bumper.

Fortunately no one was hurt but were certainly not envious of the Mercedes owner who’ll have to foot the bill.

And the Mercedes got away without a scratch, they don’t make em like they used to. 🙂

    • Zed68

You can actually see that the rear bumper has moved, even in the preview pic

      • Miknik

Yes, also pretty sure that the metal below the bumper got damaged, probably even stuff under the car…

  • CFK

Oh come on it´s just a car.
The only classic car that hurts is the Mercedes.

    • Vassilis

The 458 Speciale is not just a car.

      • CFK

Of course it is the speciale with crome red leather stitching, diamond alcantara door cards and beats audio.

        • Vassilis

More like the last naturally aspirated mid-engine Ferrari with the best naturally aspirated V8 in automotive history.

          • Andrewthecarguy

“best naturally aspirated V8 in history”?

          • Vassilis

Uhm, yes. Actually with 134 hp per litre it’s probably the best naturally aspirated engine ever.

          • Andrewthecarguy

Great! We’ve graduated from “the best” to “probably the best”.
Hey look if you want to make that assertion for yourself, cool. But unless you’ve driven EVERY V8 in the world, then that claim is just, well, your opinion.
Best V8 I ever drove is the 4.9 Liter in the E39 M5.

          • Vassilis

No we didn’t. Read what I wrote again. It’s the best n/a V8 and probably the best n/a engine. Not quite the same.

Have you driven the 458 to say it isn’t? Best V8 I ever drove was the 16M’s and the Speciale’s is a lot better. But the good thing about cars is that we have people testing them and the general consensus among them is that the Speciale’s engine is indeed the best n/a V8 ever. Also, that specific output is a fact which by itself is enough to support the claim.

Those huge extended bumpers on the old US market SL definitely lessened the damage on the Benz.

  • Dennis James

Actually, at fault was the Ferrari driver. How could you park your Speciale in front of the “Great Falls EYECARE” ?

    • Chris

    • jh

isn’t that just pure irony 😉 and the mercedes number-plates reads ‘ DER BNZ’ which, of course means ‘Der Benz’ which, again, means: ‘The Benz’ in english… snooty comes to mind. i would avoid any mb-driver, anyways, not to mention one who is as proud about it – just my driving experiences.

  • Bo Hanan

Females are so F-ing dumb. And all she can say is; “oh my God.” Yeah that makes it all go away.
    Surprised the tears hadn’t started…

      Really, dude…

Asshole wanker…….obviously women avoid you……no wonder your wife is fooling around.

  • CarCzarDesigner

This was an accident waiting to happen, especially with this driver. She decides she is going to drive, yet doesn’t really know how to parallel park and lacks experience. Of course in some people’s mind, its a bonus prize if you can park the car without scratching it. The goal is really about trying to squeeze the car in somewhere, once you find a spot. Then you have the distraction of kids in the car. They are all excited and there is no enforcement of buckling the kids in their seats… After all, they are kids. And kids like to stand up in a convertible and feel the cold air rushing over their bodies, ’cause it’s fun! And it doesn’t matter while all this commotion is going on, the kids are also blocking your view from the rear view mirror. No big deal. She’s a Mom! She is a multi-tasker! She can handle it!

Of course if your car is red, it just has to be parked next another red car, because they match so well! “Oh, that was a Ferrari???”

    • Obsequious Lickspittle

To be fair that’s a pretty small parking space. I don’t think anything larger than say a semi would have fitted in there.
      Good attempt…

    • LeftLanePrius

From the pictures I’ve seen elsewhere, the SL was already parked in front of the Speciale and behind the 300ZX. I think she somehow reversed into the Speciale hard.

      • CarCzarDesigner

Really? Does it matter? Whether she was coming into the spot or leaving, factors were in place that contributed to her running into the Ferrari.

Finally, there is no proof this photo taken above was taken before the accident. Rather, this was most likely taken after the accident. If you notice the man squatting, he fits the description of the owner. He appears to be intently examining the damage to the front end of his prized Ferrari.

        • LeftLanePrius

Not sure who pissed in your Corn Flakes, but if you watch the video, the man squatting isn’t the owner of the 458.

  • How fuckin’ many people did film this?

  • TheBelltower

That sucks. Not the worst damage we’ve seen happen to a Ferrari though.

  • BGM

If anyone wanted a real life description of *justifiable homicide*…

    • Status

This isn’t one of them. They are both just cars. Murder for damage done to any of them is unjustifiable.
