With the latest member of the redesigned Audi A5 family joining the lineup in Sportback form, enthusiasts have been left wondering how the next RS5 will look like.

To answer that question with a rendering, X-Tomi rearranged the front end of the current range-topping model, the S5 Sportback, which now has an RS-specific grille and bumper with an apron and larger air intakes, while the bolder side skirts and chunkier wheels complete its more dynamic looks.

When it does get an RS5 badge in reality, the most potent member of the new Audi A5 Sportback family will follow the same recipe as its RS4 Avant sibling, meaning that it will ditch the 4.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine in favor of a new 3.0-liter V6. Rumor has it that it will get a small electric turbo or two conventional ones, which will contribute to a total output close to 500 HP.

The brand with the four rings will stay true to its roots by offering a rear-biased Quattro AWD system paired to a dual-clutch automatic transmission. Magnetic dampers, carbon ceramic brakes and a rear differential are said to be part of the package as well.
