If your idea of a fast SUV is something that has more power than it could ever need, this Escalade HPE800 should definitely qualify.
While the HPE800 tune boosts power (crank) and torque to 805 horses and 827 lb-ft (1,121 Nm), you’re only looking at 637 HP and 644 lb-ft (873 Nm) if the power is going only to the rear wheels, which is equally impressive.
It’s a massive gain over the stock 6.2-liter V8-powered Escalade and one that will help you achieve some blistering quick 0-60 mph (96 km/h) acceleration times – around 5 seconds or less to be precise. That’s very quick for what is one of the heaviest SUVs currently in production.
Also, in comparison, the factory-standard 420 HP Escalade can only hit the same 0-60 mph mark in about 6.5 seconds, which means you’ll be outracing fellow Escalade owners easily if you opt for the Hennessey Performance tune.
The HPE800 package features a new ECU, upgraded tuning software, a high flow air filter, a boost increase by 1-2 psi and a bunch of styling changes if the owner so chooses (exterior badging & Hennessey embroidered head rests for the interior).
While it’s true that you won’t outrun any SUV from Mercedes or BMW that has AMG or M in its initials, the Escalade HPE800 remains a very impressive build aimed at those who want as much performance as possible to go with high levels of luxury.
